Choosing the right Kitchen Sink
The kitchen sink is one of the most used features in our homes. It’s where we prep foods that become delicious masterpieces and clean our pots and pans. Because we use it daily it needs to be functional. Fortunately, there are various styles of sinks to fit your kitchens needs.
Before choosing a sink consider what size you would like to have. Do you want multiple basins? How much depth do you want to it? With multiple basins, you have the option to choose between making the basins the same size or one larger and the other smaller. Single basin sinks are great for depth. Something else to consider before choosing a sink is your kitchen size. It may seem obvious but, if you have a smaller kitchen you should opt for a smaller sink that won’t take up your countertop space.

The neat thing about sinks is that you can mount them a few different ways. Here are some of the ways you can mount them:
Drop in sinks are put into a cutout in the counter.
Under mount sinks are attached to the bottom of the countertop.
Apron or farmhouse sinks have a large apron that hangs over the sink and cabinets.
Vessel or top mount sinks sit on top of the countertop.
Not only do kitchen sinks come in many styles, there are many materials they can come in such as stainless steel, porcelain, granite composite, and natural stone. Stainless steel is durable and easy to clean. Porcelain comes in endless colors and has a vintage feel to it. Granite composite resists scratches and chips and does not show water spots. Natural stone can match your countertops exactly.
Kitchen sinks are such a beautiful part of our homes. They aid in prepping the meals we share with friends and family. They are essential to a home. So choose something that fits with who you are and your home.
